SIGHTSEEING- NEWFOUNDLAND ROCK
NL ROCK
The Newfoundland rock is so called because it has an outcropped area that is shaped to a certain degree like the map of Newfoundland. The rock was dropped in a field from the main body of a rocky area known as Foxes Rocks by glacier action and makes a great photograph for the photography enthusiast .
For those not into hiking the Newfoundland rock can be viewed` by parking ones car at the end of the road in Pick Eyes and walking on for 5-8 minutes. Hikers can walk due south from the foot of the pond in over the hills until they come to a horse cart road and then walking due east. Hiking time is 20-30 minutes.
